Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone had the same opportunities in life and had enough self-respect to live to their fullest potential? Wellspring Women’s Center is a drop-in center for low-income women and their children established to foster the innate goodness and self-esteem of all who enter its doors. “Hospitality with dignity and love” is the foundation on which Wellspring is built.

Staff and volunteers are committed to providing a safe, caring, and drug-free environment where guests can visit with friends and neighbors while finding some respite from poverty. Emphasis is put on feeding the heart!

Wellspring is open Monday through Friday, offering a light breakfast daily to nearly 200 women and their children. Volunteers provide supervised and creative play for guests’ children. Guests may obtain mental health counseling from a staff social worker and interns. Wellspring staff members assist guests with referrals for needed services, and local agencies provide outreach at Wellspring so that community resources are not duplicated.

Religious proselytizing is not practiced at Wellspring and services are not dependent on acceptance of any faith or belief.
