Safety Net Services

This program provides emergency services to those in need of help. The program not only meets practical needs with items such as diapers or bus tickets,  but also helps bolster the dignity and hope of people under duress. During troubled times when funds are tight, even a bus pass or a few diapers can be out of reach.

2016 by the Numbers…

65,516 diapers were provided to babies, toddlers, and adults

2,332 toiletry bags filled with travel-sized items like shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, lotion, and tissues

53,570 feminine hygiene products were provided (tampons and pads)

And, over 3,030 bus passes were distributed to guests, en route to a variety of commitments including medical appointments, court appearances, school, work, interviews, and more. Bus passes are distributed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:30 am.

Wellspring is able to provide this help via Ann Land/Bertha Henschel Memorial Fund grant, and through a partnership with Francis House.
