Wellspring Women’s Center’s volunteers are the heart of our organization. We are grateful for their dedication, hard work, and service. We simply could not function without their help!
Volunteers are needed for the following areas:
Nutritious Meal Program: greeting guests into The Center, helping serve meals, preparing food, keeping The Center tidy
Children’s Corner: assisting the Children’s Corner Coordinator, engaging in positive play and education with children, supporting children’s activities, keeping the area tidy and safe
The Hub: checking guests’ mail, giving away hygiene bags and other safety net items, recording donations, keeping the space tidy
General Volunteer Information
Volunteers assist the staff with the general operations of the Center Monday through Friday between 8:00am to 11:30am.
There are no weekend, afternoon, or evening opportunities.
Volunteers are encouraged to commit to one shift a week and Wellspring does not accommodate walk-in volunteers.
All prospective volunteers must attend a 45-minute Volunteer Orientation and Tour prior to being scheduled. Upcoming orientations will be held on:
Wednesday, May 31st @ 1:00pm
Group Volunteer Information
We always welcome the help of school groups and parent organizations, corporate organizations, or religious groups. We accommodate groups of 3-6 people and occasionally have opportunities for larger groups. Volunteer groups are required to have a minimum of 3 volunteers show up for the scheduled volunteer day. If the required minimum of 3 volunteers cannot be met one week prior to the scheduled volunteer day, the Hospitality Manager will work with the group to reschedule to a day when at least 3 volunteers are able to be present. On the day of volunteering, groups arrive at Wellspring by 9:00am, receive a brief orientation and tour, and then get to work! Volunteers stay until 12:00pm to help with clean-up.
